You Asked About: Issues Confronting Lgbt

Michael asks…

Going around router website blocks?

Right, some background story: I’m gay, and I’m very interested in the news about lgbt issues, movies, etc and the occasional personals sites *ehem*. My housemate however, has an unreasonable disliking to homosexuality and he’s the one controlling the internet connection in the house (the router to which we all connect mainly), and thus he has blocked any websites with the words ‘gay’ and ‘queer’ in the address bar. This would of course include search engines.

My question: how do I go around this block done by the router? Apart from confronting him about the issue of course (I’m not out), and not hard-resetting the router (which may escalate to an all out war).

Your help in this matter is much appreciated.

And gay bashing not appreciated.
